Street Art at Orchard Road Park, Portsmouth
The basketball court at Orchard Road Park, between Orchard Road and Goldsmith Avenue, has been completely transformed during 2021 with funding from Network Rail, Victorious Festival and Portsmouth City Council plus a Crowdfunder campaign.
The basketball court has been completely re-surfaced, new court fencing has been installed, backboards have been replaced and other equipment has been repaired. Access to the park has also been improved with a new entrance from Goldsmith Avenue.
On the western end of the park, adjacent to the basketball court a stunning new art installation has been painted.
The paintings titled 'Proper Faces' are by Dharma 77 who also has work on display in the alleyway between Palmerston Road and Tonbridge Street in Southsea. You can view much more work by Dharma 77 on his Instagram account.
