Charity entries for the Great South Run, Portsmouth

The following charities have a limited amount of guaranteed running places for the Great South Run, these are usually allocated on a first come first served basis.

Many charity running places include extras such as a running vest, fundraising packs and hospitality or massage after the race. So if you are looking for an entry to the Great South Run why not contact them and help raise money for charity at the same time.

Don't leave this until the last minute though as most charity running places are filled very quickly. Good luck running the Great South Run and have fun.

Alzheimer's Society

Take on the Great South Run for Alzheimer's Society and get ready to feel sublime, knowing you're helping everyone living with dementia. You'll need to pay a registration fee of £25 and set a fundraising target of £200. We'll be there to support you every step of the way.

Medecins Sans Frontieres / Doctors Without Borders (MSF)

Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF) is an international, medical humanitarian organisation working in more than 70 countries around the world. Our medical teams act fast to save people's lives in conflict zones, natural disasters and epidemics. We provide free medical care to people who need it the most. It doesn't matter where they are from, which religion they belong to or what their political affiliations are. All that matters is they are human beings in need. We have over 45,000 staff across the globe and 37,600 are people hired locally. We are funded by millions of individual supporters, allowing us to respond quickly and remain fiercely independent.

RSPCA

RSPCA have a limited number of Great South Run places available. We would love you to join us as part of Team Animal and raise the vital funds needed to help more animals. There's a minimum fundraising target of £200, we'll be on hand to support you with ideas and resources to make your fundraising easy and fun! The money raised from this event will help us rescue, rehabilitate and rehome or release more animals when they need us most.

Run for Barrier-Free Boating and join the Wetwheels Solent team!

Wetwheels Solent provide active, inclusive powerboat adventures that are open to all disabled people in our community - even people with profound, multiple and severe conditions or impairments who are often excluded from outdoor leisure activities. By joining the Wetwheels Solent team, you will help ensure all disabled people are able to access the Blue Health benefits of time spent on the open sea, including increased confidence, improved physical and mental wellbeing, and broadened horizons.
