ROUTE TO THE 2008 FA CUP FINAL.
In the 3rd round Portsmouth beat Ipswich away winning 0-1 with David Nugent scoring in the second half.

Pompey beat naval rivals Plymouth 2- 1 at Fratton Park in the 4th round with goals from Lassana Diarra and Niko Kranjcar.

In the 5th round Portsmouth knocked out Preston North End away with Darren Carter scoring an own goal from a Kranjcar corner kick right at the end of the game.

Pompey surprised Manchester United in the 6th round, a penalty taken by Sulley Mantari was enough to take Pompey into the semi final.

Played at Wembley the semi final was against West Bromich Albion, ex West Brom striker Nwankwo Kanu scored for Portsmouth in front of a crowd of 83,584.
