The Great South Run, takes place over a 10 mile (16 kilometer) course through the streets of Portsmouth, passing landmarks such as HMS Victory and the Spinnaker Tower.
The course is almost flat, with minimal slopes around the course, helping make fast times achievable.

Begin your amazing journey and go for Guide Dogs in the Great South Run 2011.

On Sunday 30th October the streets of Portsmouth will be filled with a sea of runners all taking part in the Bupa Great South Run 2011. Join the fun and go for Guide Dogs in this fantastic 10 mile running event.

Guide Dogs are passionate about making your race day the best it can be. We will provide you with your own supporter care representative, online fundraising page, technical 'Saucony' running top, full support pack, and a huge team of extra noisy cheerers on race day.

Guide Dogs promise to give you a hero's welcome when you cross the finish line, offering all of our amazing runners a first class post race reception complete with food, refreshments, sports massage and the chance to meet some guide dog puppies!
