August 2010

  • Live at the Bandstand every Sunday on Southsea Seafront.
  • until Oct 10th Dinosaur Sculpture, Southsea Common.
  • 3rd - 5th Out To Lunch. A variety of free shows for the family including birds of prey, sci fi fun and animals. City Museum 12pm - 2pm.
  • 6th Cowes Week Fireworks Cruise, in aid of the NSPCC, Fireworks at Cowes and the Red Arrows, leaves Gunwharf Quays at 6.30pm returns approx 11pm. Tel: 01329 288180 for details.
  • 6th Royal Marines Open Day and Beat the Retreat, Guildhall and Guildhall Square.
  • 8th FORT Fund Raising Event, Castle Field.

September 2010

  • 2nd The Lost World (1925), Screening at Aspex Gallery.
  • 5th Multicultural Festival, Castle Field.
  • 11th - 7.30pm An Evening with Verity Steele & Friends All Saints Church, Hambledon Road, Denmead, Hampshire PO7 6NN.
    As the annual Proms season draws to a close, this varied programme of music will help you enter into the spirit of the occasion - a chamber music alternative to the Last Night of the Proms! As well as music for violin & piano, piano trio, mezzo-soprano and narrator, there will be opportunity for you to join in singing along with a few of the favourites associated with the popular BBC event.
